Lost Uprisings
By Nikhil Chaudhary
Nikhil Chaudhary is an architect-urban planner and an independent comics artist based in Berlin. His visual narratives communicate the human negotiations of urban-dwellers with their built realities. Pedestrianisation, transit infrastructure, road safety, lives of migrant communities and environmental impacts of urban growth are recurring themes of his work. He hopes his comics would make the readership pause and reflect about urban planning while relating with the plight of an average metropolitan inhabitant. His work has appeared in national news outlets such as Tagesspiegel, Hindustan Times, Mid-Day, Scroll.in, TRT World, international magazines The Atlantic CityLab, Sustainable Cities Collective, The City Fix, Strapazin Zurich, professional journals Indian Architect & Builder, Journal of Landscape Architecture, URBZ, and a recent anthology by Harper Collins.
