Hues of Festivity
By Rini R. Mathew
Orange, yellow, red hues of festivity
shines on my gloomy panes of sanctity
three of you gleam in pride
donned in effervescent loins of tide
No attire could better describe your magnitude
as you spread joy of beatitude
a light shines forth in glory
a sight to my eyes giving merry
Clad in earth, chandeliers, stands
stone or metal unifies many hands
in Hope, Peace and Love to cherish
arrays of richness and grandeur to relish
Its a sight so candid of delight
raising the weak with might
In ink, columns and rows it emits
rays of candor devoid limits!
My life so decked with your grace
a note of gratitude for my space.
For an unknown person as me,
you are a twilight of glee
extinguishing the pangs of uncertainty
to doors of certainty.
I owe you for teaching me to write
with those three shades of thy light!
